Start Up Weekend

September 16 to Spetember 18 (Friday to Sunday). A team of Liger students participate in the event or competition called the Start Up Weekend, and I’m one of those people also. What is a Start Up Weekend? Well this event is teaching you about how to start our own business and I think that this is a really cool opportunity to learn and to start our own business plus to netwoork with other people. At there, the manager of the event invited people that had participate before to come a share their idea. On Friday we were try to come up a solution to solve the education problem in Cambodia. My idea was to create a connection between students and teachers and share their idea. But at last I didn’t pass by the judges.

2016 ICT 4Ag Competition

At September 7, 2016, I was joined the competition call 2016 ICT 4Ag Competition. It is a local competition, this competition is about our imagination of solving the agricultural dufficalty especially rice and cassava. So I came up with an idea of growing rice, usually farmers in Cambodia plant rice using hand one-by-one. So to solve that problem I came up with an idea of growing the rice plan 4 at a time. So that they can grow the rice bette and faster. So I submited the applicaiton, than at last I didn’t win the competition. But it still okay for me because that is just an experience.

Welcome to Senior Campus

At the fifth year of Liger all the senior students will come to the new apartment and it was really phenomenal, it similar to a floating house. The design is above the ground around a meter, and the room, the bed, and every things were different than the last house. At the new campus we have to manage our own money and our own food. Since I live here about two months, I had cooked my own food, it seem difficult at the first time but then it become easy at second and third time. I think that our new campus is really a spot for us to learn because I get a lot of good input from it.

Learning Electronics with a University Student

Liger invited a university students to do a short presentation about their project that they made. It turns out to a small weekend course on every Saturday for 7 weeks, 3 hours per day. I was one of the students who participate in that course and I feel really enjoy with all of the cool stuffs that my mentor, Oemdaro, made like: an auto watery system, mind control robots and other projects. At last we made a system, that sends data like temperature and humidity to a website that people around the world can see those data. The hardware that we used were, NodeMCU, humidity and temperature sensor, and jumper cables.
